Stove cookers
Have you had your stove cooker swept recently? Cookers require regular sweeping to ensure their efficient use. An increased build up of soot can result in your cooker working incorrectly and poses the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning.
Inglenooks (large open fires)
Inglenooks are most commonly found in older properties. These types of fire often have very delicate chimneys that need to be swept carefully. Sweep Spot carry soft brushes and use manual sweeping techniques to ensure the flue is adequately swept.
Camera inspection
Are there noises coming from your chimney? Is your stove causing smoke to enter an upstairs room? Using our inspection camera we can help find the cause of noises/problems. The camera is attached to our chimney rods and fed up the flue allowing us to see areas where most can't.
Bird nest removals
Small twigs and other debris falling down into your fire place/appliance could be a sign you have nesting birds. You may also hear/see them going into your chimney. We have special equipment to break up and remove nests and will always use our inspection camera post removal to ensure your flue is safe and ready to use.
Stove rope replacement
Stove rope is located around certain elements of your appliance usually around openings. This rope acts as a seal to prevent harmful gases escaping and also to stop the appliance over firing. Over time, this rope deteriorates and needs replacing to maintain safety and increase efficiency. When Sweep Spot clean your appliance we will always assess the integrity of your rope seals and replace them if necessary.
Bird guard/chimney cowl installations
Do you regularly have birds nesting in your chimney or have you recently had a birds nest removed? The best way to prevent this from happening is to fit a bird guard or chimney cap. We can supply and fit these for you. Please get in contact should this be the case.
